KANOWIT, Aug 6: Construction of Phase II of the Kanowit Water Supply Project is experiencing a slight delay but is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2024.
“After taking into account the building materials on site and EOT approval, this project is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2024.
“Nevertheless, the contractor has been reminded to comply with the new schedule that has been approved,”said Sarawak Utility and Telecommunication Minister Datuk Julaihi Narawi during a visit to the site today.
Julaihi said the Rural Water Supply Department (JBALB) had also been instructed to monitor the progress of the project’s implementation together with the consultants and Resident Engineers on duty.
