MIRI, Dec 10: About 360 fire victims in Niah and Bekenu received basic necessities including rice, dry food, clothes, toiletries and cash aid from the staff of Petronas Carigali Sarawak Oil (SK-Oil) and Petronas Floating LNG Satu (PFLNG1) recently.
The items were handed over to the victims by representatives from both Petronas subsidiaries, headed by SK-Oil head of administration Suif Alias.

“This effort is in line with one of our CSR (corporate social responsibility) pillars, which is to contribute to the well-being of society. We hope our small contribution will help to ease the burden of the affected families,” Suif said in a press statement today.
The recipients were members of 38 families from Rumah Panjang Usek, Niah, and one family from Kampung Satap, Bekenu, who lost their homes in a fire on Nov 14 and Dec 2 this year, respectively. — DayakDaily
