KUCHING, Feb 2: PETRONAS has taken proactive steps in providing assistance to those affected by the recent floods in Bintulu and Miri recently.
In a TVS report today, PETRONAS extended assistance to flood victims at the Naim Paragon temporary evacuation centre (PPS) in Bintulu in the form of 200 sets of hygiene kits and food packs.
At the same time, PETRONAS also presented 200 hygiene kits and food packs to the Bintulu Resident’s Office to aid flood-stricken families.
“This initiative reflects PETRONAS and the Bintulu Resident’s Office in providing support to those who need it as well as ensuring their welfare is taken care of, especially when faced with challenging situations like floods,” said the report.
Meanwhile, PETRONAS also presented 400 donation packs to flood victims in several PPS in Miri—Tudan, Pujut Tanjung Batu, Pujut Adong, and Miri Red Crescent—as well as the PPS that was opened in Bekenu.
The donations provided consisted of food, basic necessities, and personal care items.
Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg was present to witness the handing over of donation packs at the Miri Red Crescent PPS. — DayakDaily
