PETRONAS identifies 26 rural clinics in Sarawak for basic medical assistance, facilities

BATANG AI, Aug 27: Petroliam Nasional Berhad (PETRONAS) has identified 26 clinics in rural areas in Sarawak for basic medical assistance and clinic facilities with funds worth RM1.3 million.

In a TVS news report, PETRONAS Sarawak senior manager Nurazibah M. Rabu said among the assistance given were medical and non-medical items such as adjustable patient beds, nebulizer machines, digital weighing machines, chairs, televisions, and ceiling fans.

“The Batang Ai clinic was among the 26 clinics we’re assisting through this project.

“We want to help so that residents don’t have to travel far to get comprehensive health services,” she said when met after the symbolic handover ceremony of basic medical needs at the Batang Ai clinic today.

She believes that this contribution will improve the infrastructure of rural clinics and benefit the community by providing quality medical services. — DayakDaily
