KUCHING, July 2: The petrol and fuel supply in Kapit were replenished following the arrival of 16,000 litres of supply today.

On his Facebook page, Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Minister Dato Sri Alexander Nanta Linggi said the supply, consisting of 10,000 litres of RON95 petrol and 6,000 litres of diesel, arrived at 3.30pm.

“This immediate delivery is to solve this supply problem thus denying the allegations from some parties that the shortage was deliberate.

“As a matter of fact, the shortage of fuel supply in Kapit was due to a slight disruption to the delivery schedule,” he said.

Nanta said the supply of RON95 petrol and diesel would be delivered according to the usual schedule starting tomorrow.

He added a total of 125,000 litres would be delivered to accommodate public use, which is sufficient for three days. — DayakDaily
