KUCHING, May 16: Pertama Ferroalloys Sdn Bhd intends to partner with the Sarawak government to establish an education fund in collaboration with Yayasan Sarawak.
According to a Sarawak Public Communication Unit (Ukas) news report, Pertama Ferroalloys chairman Hirotaka Suzuki stated that, in addition to Samalaju, his company intends to collaborate with Sarawak Energy Berhad (Sarawak Energy) and Bintulu Development Authority (BDA) to expand their business.
“We want to establish an education fund in collaboration with Yayasan Sarawak because education is very important.
“Apart from that, we are also thinking about how to contribute to Sarawak other than financially,” he said when met by reporters today during a courtesy call on Sarawak Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg at the Sarawak State Legislative Assembly (DUN) here.
Earlier, the Premier of Sarawak also received a courtesy visit from the High Commissioner of Brunei Darussalam to Malaysia, His Excellency Brigadier General Dato Paduka Mahmud Saidin, accompanied by the Consul General of Brunei Darussalam Noni Zurainah Ismi. — DayakDaily
