SIBU, Dec 8: Resolving the irrigation system problem in the Pelawan constituency and in turn the flood issues here will take precedence next year, followed by a concentrated effort on road development, says Pelawan assemblyman Datuk Michael Tiang Ming Tee.
Tiang expressed gratitude for the trust and support he received from the community during the official handover of Natural Disaster Aid to 265 households in the Pelawan constituency affected by a freak storm on April 6, held at Swan Square today (Dec 8),
“I need your support and patience so that we can make this happen. Trust me, Pelawan, year by year will be better. This is my promise. I thank you for giving me your trust and supporting me in my effort to develop this area,” he said.
Tiang also encouraged Pelawan’s residents to reach out to his service centre at Sungai Merah for assistance or to address any concerns in the constituency.
The service centre will be open from 8am to 5pm on weekdays, from 8am to noon on Saturdays, and will be closed on Sundays and public holidays.
