KUCHING, Feb 11: Sarawakians recognise the positive role that Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) has played in their lives, including bringing in development, says Dato Seri Tiong King Sing.

According to the Progressive Democratic Action Party (PDP) president, this was proven under the leadership of Sarawak Premier and GPS chairman Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg in the 15th General Election (GE15).

“PDP is indeed grateful for the steady hand of the leadership of GPS, which has also fought bravely for the interest of Sarawak,” said Tiong, whose text speech was read by PDP secretary-general Datuk Nelson Balang Rining during GPS’ GE15 appreciation ceremony, here tonight.

Tiong assures that PDP will continue to play their role in spearheading and implementing the Sarawak government’s policies that emphasise sustainable development, improving the livelihoods of Sarawakians.

He said the Sarawak government is doing so moderately and inclusively, including in a way that honours the multi-racial and multi-ethnic makeup of the region.

“This is the hallmark of Sarawak, one that we must do everything in GPS to preserve for generations to come,” said Tiong. — DayakDaily
