KUCHING, June 12: Certain individuals have become complacent in government positions assigned to them while some backstab others to secure one, alleges Progressive Democratic Party (PDP) president Dato Sri Tiong King Sing.
According to Tiong in a Facebook post today, some even stoop to sow internal strife simply to jostle for positions inside government agencies, government-linked companies (GLCs), and the like.
“These actions will definitely destroy to oneself. The people out there will surely see the real ‘us’.
“It handily gives the rakyat an outlet to rate and evaluate the behaviors of their leaders,” he said.
Tiong who is also the federal Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture (MOTAC), Bintulu MP and Dudong assemblyman, added these behaviours will reflect poorly not just on the individual leader, but on the party as well.
“If all of these doesn’t rectify (sic), we shall see at the upcoming elections, whether the candidates who act out of turn will be retained or not,” he said.
Among other points in his post, Tiong emphasised that complacency, arrogance and dishonesty has no place in politics today. — DayakDaily
