PBB Mambong nominates Dr Jerip to defend seat in Sarawak election

KUCHING, Nov 7: Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) Mambong has unanimously agreed to nominate Datuk Dr Jerip Susil as the candidate for Mambong seat.

The decision came during a PBB Mambong branch meeting at its office at Kota Padawan today.

“At the meeting today, PBB Mambong branch exco members passed a resolution and unanimously agreed that Datuk Dr Jerip be the candidate to represent Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) from PBB to contest in Mambong,” said the branch youth chief Wilson Ahon.

Dr Jerip, who is the Assistant Minister of Transport joined PBB in 2019 after he left Parti Sarawak Bersatu (PSB).

Dr Jerip has been the Mambong assemblyman (previously Bengoh) for four terms. In the last state election, he won by a 3,333-vote majority, defeated Sanjan Daik from Democratic Action Party (DAP) and Datuk Willie Mongin who was with Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) at the time.
