KUCHING, Feb 11: The complete candidate list for Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) party election has been released ahead of the party’s 16th Triennial General Meeting (TGM) or PBB Convention, set to take place from Feb 14 to 16.
According to PBB Election Committee chairman Datuk Awang Bemee Awang Ali Basah, the upcoming election will see contests for four vice president posts in the supreme council, along with working committee member positions—14 seats allocated to the Pesaka wing and 16 seats to the Bumiputera wing.
There is however no contest for top five posts of presidency, two deputy presidential posts and two senior vice presidential posts. Additionally, there will also be no contest for the party’s youth and women chiefs’ posts.
Abang Bemee made the announcement during a press conference following the drawing of candidate numbers at PBB headquarters today.
