KUCHING, Dec 14: Some parties are now resorting to slander to discredit Premier Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg’s achievements, says Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) deputy president Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas.
Uggah, in a statement today, said those doing so are likely jealous of Abang Johari’s achievements for Sarawak which have won praise and recognition from many countries.
“They are also unhappy that Abang Johari is determined in protecting our rights,” he said.
Meanwhile, Uggah lauded PBB Mambong branch members for wanting the posts of the party president and his two deputies to be returned unopposed.
He also said Sarawak is fortunate to have a very visionary leader in Abang Johari.
As such, he called on Sarawakians to rally strongly behind the Premier in his efforts to retain the State’s eroded rights under the Malaysia Agreement 1963 (MA63). — DayakDaily
