PBB convention: Economy, education and politics among topics to be discussed

KUCHING, June 16: Delegates will present and discuss matters related to economy, education and politics that will lead Sarawak to a developed State status by 2030 during the Parti Pesaka Bumiptera Bersatu (PBB) triennial general meeting (TGM), says PBB vice president Dato Sri Dr Stephen Rundi Utom.

According to a news report from Sarawak Public Communications Unit (Ukas) today, Dr Rundi saidbthe party will also explore in depth what it needs in order to develop Sarawak.

“This convention will also provide an overview of the direction of the PBB leadership to secure the Post-Covid-19 Development Strategy (PCDS) 2030.


“If we look at it, previously, the leadership focused on political development, and after that we determined how we use natural resources.

“Right now we are going to use of technology, such as digital technology, technology-based business and so on,” he said during a press conference after chairing the PBB 15th Convention Preparation Meeting held at Borneo Kuching Convention Centre (BCCK) on Wednesday (June 15).

Apart from that, Dr Rundi said political stability, prosperity and excellence form the foundation of the PBB 15th convention l.

“The special thing about this convention is that we want to continue our efforts to determine the people’s confidence in our struggle for the State of Sarawak.

“As the government that rules Sarawak, we want to ensure political stability, prosperity and excellence. This should be our direction in Sarawak,” he added. — DayakDaily
