Pay MPP assessment bills before Oct 30 to avoid monthly surcharge of 1 pct

KUCHING, Oct 26: Padawan Municipal Council (MPP) has set Oct 31 as the due date for the payment of the assessment rate for the second half of the year, where any delays in payment will incur a one per cent surcharge monthly.

In view of this, the counters of MPP at Kota Padawan will be open this Saturday, Oct 29 to facilitate property owners who wish to pay their assessment rates. 

The counters will operate from 8am until 3.30pm including lunch hour.

On normal working days, the counters at MPP are always open during lunch hour (8am to 3.30pm). 

Payment of the assessment rate bills which are not overdue can be made at all the payment counters at Service Sarawak Kuching (UTC Kuching), DBKU (Kuching North City Hall), MBKS (Kuching South City Hall), SESCO, KWB (Kuching Water Board) and POS (post offices). 

Payment can also be made at all H&L Supermarket outlets in Kuching. 

Ratepayers can also pay online by accessing www.paybillsmalaysia.com or via MPP’s website https://mpp.sarawak.gov.my. 

Additionally, the Service Sarawak Counters of UTC Kuching at Jalan Bukit Mata, Kuching is open daily on Monday to Friday from 8am to 7pm and on weekends from 8am to 5pm to collect the current and overdue assessment rate bills.

Ratepayers who have not received or misplaced their assessment rate bills are requested to call the Valuation and Rating Division of MPP Majlis for copy bills at 082-615566.
