KUCHING, July 9: Past and present Sarawak Senators met with Sarawak Governor Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar and his wife, Toh Puan Fauziah Mohd Sanusi, at Astana Negeri Sarawak, to gain valuable insights and perspectives on the Senate’s direction.
According to a news report by Sarawak Public Communications Unit (Ukas), participating in the courtesy call were Senator Dato Ahmad Ibrahim, Senator Susan Chemerai Anding, Senator Michael Mujah Lihan, Senator Robert Lau Hui Yew, Senator Pele Peter Tinggom, Senator Rita Sarimah Patrick Insol as well as former senators, Dato Dr Zaiedi Suhaili and Datuk Paul Igai.
The delegation’s spokesperson Ahmad pointed out that Wan Junaidi had shared his wisdom and provided valuable insights into the direction he envisions for the Dewan Negara’s progress.
“So, that is why we have brought most of our current (Sarawak) senators to engage in this courtesy call,” he said, when met by reporters after the courtesy call. — DayakDaily
