KUCHING, June 13: A section near the traffic lights at Jalan Wan Alwi will be partially diverted to facilitate piling works for the Kuching Urban Transportation System (KUTS) project, which are scheduled to continue until Dec 12, 2025.
In an advisory issued today, Sarawak Metro, the implementing agency for the KUTS project, stated that the partial road diversion will be in effect daily from 9am to 4pm and 9pm to 4am.
Motorists are advised to exercise caution when driving through the affected area and to comply with all traffic management measures, including road warning signs and speed limits, to ensure the safety of both road users and construction workers.
Sarawak Metro will provide timely updates should there be any changes to the work schedule.
Road users are also encouraged to plan their journeys accordingly.
