KUCHING, Dec 7: Sarawak Forestry Corporation (SFC) has announced that Painted Cave at Niah National Park is temporarily closed to visitors.
In a Facebook post, SFC stated that the cave is inaccessible due to a damaged plank walk, and their team is actively working on repairing the walkway.
It disclosed progress will be subject to the current water level under the plank walk in the vicinity.
As such, SFC stated, it is taking a precautionary measure, and Painted Cave will be closed for visiting until further notice to ensure visitors’ safety.
SFC said that it will give regular updates on the status of repairs and the re-opening of Painted Cave through its official communication channels. — DayakDaily
