Pahang Sultan stops to help accident victims on Pan Borneo Highway

KUCHING, Aug 21: The caring nature of Sultan of Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah was once again evident when His Royal Highness stopped to assist victims of a road accident on the Pan Borneo Highway near Kampung Stungkor along the Bau-Lundu Road at about 3.30pm today.

According to a post shared by Kesultanan Pahang social media, the incident occurred as Al-Sultan Abdullah was personally driving from Lundu to Kuching after officiating the Al-Sultan Abdullah Mosque in Telok Melano earlier today.

Upon arriving at the scene, the Sultan came across an accident involving a married couple travelling on a motorcycle and a car driven by a local woman.

His Royal Highness immediately instructed an ambulance accompanying his convoy to assist the two victims, who were reported to have sustained serious injuries, and take them to Lundu Hospital for further treatment.

Despite the scorching afternoon heat, Al-Sultan Abdullah alighted from his vehicle to personally check on the victims and inquire about their condition.

His Royal Highness also helped calm the victims before continuing his journey to Kuching.

The Sultan’s spontaneous act of compassion reflects his concern for the welfare and safety of members of the public, with His Royal Highness taking the opportunity to assist those in distress despite being on an official journey. — DayakDaily
