KUCHING, Aug 15: In a bid to fight the current dengue outbreak, Padungan assemblyman Wong King Wei will be distributing flyers about the mosquito-borne viral disease in his constituency on Aug 17.
He will be handing out the flyers to members of the public in Padungan particularly in Song Kheng Hai area.
The latter locality has been categorised as among the dengue outbreak areas in Kuching by the authorities.
“I’m concerned about the ongoing dengue outbreak as well as the rising number of dengue cases especially in my constituency.
“So I’ll be distributing flyers to create awareness of dengue and Aedes mosquitoes among the community on Saturday,” he said.
The flyers are in Bahasa Melayu and Chinese.
Wong added that the forthcoming campaign would be a joint effort with the state Health Department. — DayakDaily
