KUCHING, Nov 20: OCBC (Oversea-Chinese Banking Corporation) is eager to support Sarawak’s vision of developing its sustainable development agenda.

According to a news report from Sarawak Public Communication Unit (Ukas) today, OCBC Bank group chief executive Helen Wong said the corporation is also very active in helping clients towards green financing and sustainability.

“Sarawak’s vision in the sustainable development agenda is a significant initiative, and we are also very active in helping clients transition to green financing,” she said when met by reporters after a courtesy call to Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg at the Sarawak Legislative Assembly (DUN) building today.

She added that OCBC allocated SGD52 billion (approximately RM181 billion) last September for sustainable financing.

“We have also been involved in the renewable energy agenda in line with the Sarawak initiative,” she said. — DayakDaily
