Over RM1.3 million worth of drugs disposed off at Mambong KIWMP

KUCHING, Sept 25: Over RM1.3 million worth of drugs were being disposed of at the Integrated Waste Management Park (KIWMP), Kampung Mambong, Padawan on Thursday morning.

Sarawak Narcotics Crime Investigation Department chief ACP Jasmirol Jamaluddin said the disposed drugs were from Kota Samarahan, Bau, Padawan, Serian, Sri Aman, Betong, Kapit, Bintulu, Miri, Limbang, and Lawas.


“The drug items being disposed were those involving 1,823 investigation reports which have been completed or charged in the court from 2010 until 2019,” he said in a press statement.

According to Jasmirol, a total of 11,233.11 grammes and 3,413 pills worth RM1,382,594.00 were being disposed of. A total of 3,413 urine bottles were being disposed as well during the disposal procedure and the operation was held under the Inspector-General Of Police’s Standing Order (PTKPN) D207.

Jasmirol said that the police were always committed to tackling down all the drugs activities in Sarawak and the public were also urged to share information with the police if any drug activities were spotted.-DayakDaily
