KUCHING, Nov 4: Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari’s conferment of The Order of the Rising Sun, Gold and Silver Star by the Japanese government is a reflection of his leadership and far-sighted vision in strengthening bilateral relations between Sarawak and Japan.
In a Facebook post issued by Astana Sarawak, Head of State Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar and his wife, Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah Mohd Sanusi, extended their congratulations to the Premier on this prestigious recognition.
“The Premier’s continuous efforts in implementing progressive development policies—particularly in the fields of investment, green energy, and the digital economy—have propelled Sarawak to an impressive level of advancement.
“Under his leadership, Sarawak has emerged as a progressive, competitive, and influential State within the region,” said the post.
They also prayed that Abang Johari will continue to be blessed with good health, strength, and wisdom to lead Sarawak toward enduring prosperity.
On Monday (Nov 3), Abang Johari was honoured with the prestigious award in conjunction with the 2025 Autumn Imperial Decorations on foreign national recipients by His Majesty the Emperor of Japan. — DayakDaily
