KUCHING, Aug 13: Operators or employees of business premises are required to serve only customers who are fully vaccinated.
According to the latest standard operating procedures (SOPs) released by the State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC), business operators may obtain verification regarding full vaccination of their customers through MySejahtera digital certificates or Covid-19 vaccination cards.
For the private sector, only employers, operators or employees who are fully vaccinated are allowed to work.
While a business, a company or a factory is in operation, operators must ensure that all employees register their attendance by using the MySejahtera app. For areas without internet coverage, operators must manually record employees’ names, contact numbers, date and time when reporting to work.
Symptomatic employees are strictly not allowed to work and t is mandatory for them to undergo a Covid-19 screening test.
Employees identified as Persons Under Surveillance (PUS) are also not allowed to work until they have completed the quarantine period and have been granted a Release Order by the health authorities as well as complete a prescribed Covid-19 screening test.
Meanwhile, drivers of vehicles carrying necessary goods and services as well as those involved in the chain of economic or industrial activities under the list of permitted services who need to undertake cross-district travel regularly are required to undergo a Covid-19 swab test every two weeks, apart from obtaining a police permit.
It is also compulsory for operators to make sure that their employees go through rT-PCR swab tests should the latter experience symptoms such as fever, cough, cold and diarrhea.
Operators must also ensure that employees do not dine in groups without physical distancing measures in place during breaks.
Employers are encouraged to conduct random screenings on a regular basis by using self-screening kits approved by the Ministry of Health to ensure employees are free from Covid-19 infections. — DayakDaily
