KUCHING, April 25: Only 270,000 or 30 per cent out of 900,000 eligible Sarawakians in Phase Two of the Covid-19 immunisation programme have registered for their vaccination.

State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) advisor Dato Sri Dr Sim Kui Hian said everyone’s cooperation is highly needed to encourage those around to register themselves as well.

“Please invite your friends who have not yet registered to come. Only about 270,000 out of 900,000 Sarawakians eligible for Phase Two have been registered.

“We need your help to get as many Sarawakians registered. Together, we will win our war with Covid-19, avoiding the horrible loss of lives and loss of livelihoods like how India is suffering now,” he said in his Facebook post yesterday (April 24).

Meanwhile, he also noted the opening of a physical counter for the registration of Covid-19 vaccination at Dewan Masyarakat, Stapok here today from 10am to 12pm. — DayakDaily
