KUCHING, Oct 13: All marking for the Dual Language Programme Sarawak (UP-DLPS 6) 2026 assessment will be conducted online for the first time when Primary 6 pupils in government primary schools across Sarawak sit for the assessment on Oct 14 and 15.
The assessment covers English, Science, and Mathematics and is part of the Sarawak government’s efforts to improve pupils’ learning outcomes through the Sarawak Dual Language Programme.
The online marking system aims to make the process more transparent and efficient, while enabling more detailed analysis of assessment results to identify pupils’ strengths and areas needing improvement, with results expected to be announced on Nov 23.
Minister for Education, Innovation, and Talent Development Datuk Seri Roland Sagah Wee Inn wished all pupils success and encouraged them to approach the assessment with confidence and do their best.
“Believe in yourselves and give your very best. This assessment is an opportunity to show what you have learned and identify areas where you can continue to improve. Do your best and be proud of your efforts,” he said in a statement.
He also advised pupils to get enough rest, manage their time wisely, and read each question carefully during the assessment.
Sagah thanked teachers, school leaders, and parents for their dedication and support in preparing pupils for the assessment, urging them to continue working together to strengthen pupils’ foundation in English, Science and Mathematics.
The UP-DLPS initiative reflects the Sarawak government’s commitment to complementing national education efforts and improving learning outcomes in line with the Post-COVID-19 Development Strategy 2030 (PCDS 2030).
Sagah also encouraged pupils to keep learning, stay curious, and do their best as they prepare to enter secondary school. — DayakDaily
