KUCHING, Aug 11: High-energy dance competition show ‘Juh Battle!’ is looking for talented dance crews from across Sarawak and Sabah.
A show produced specially for TV Sarawak (TVS), its produced Enfiniti (M) Sdn Bhd said the competition will not only give dancers all over Borneo the platform to showcase their talents, but also the opportunity to win RM30,000 and the title of Borneo’s Best Dance Group.
Enfiniti said the show, where 16 selected teams will be mentored, coached and judged, is scheduled to be aired at the end of 2021 on TVS’ Channel 122 on Astro, MyFreeview and YouTube.
“Dance groups from all over Sarawak and Sabah will undergo online auditions. The host and entire competition process will be filmed at the Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (Unimas) Auditorium in Kuching.
“The mentor-judges’ segments will be filmed at the Enfiniti Black Box Theatre in Kuala Lumpur, as well as through an online platform,” it said in a statement today.
While online auditions are open to dance groups of any dance style, the crews must consist of at least two members and a maximum of 8 members.
Applicants must be Malaysian citizens residing in Sarawak or Sabah with a minimum age of 15-years-old, and at least one team member is required to be 18-years-old and above.
Any interested dance crews are welcome to submit a video of no longer than five minutes before Aug 31, showcasing the members’ dancing abilities in at least one dance style, be it contemporary, ballet or breakdancing.

Juh Battle! is a competitive dance reality show created and executive produced by Enfiniti (M) Sdn Bhd led by director Tiara Jacquelina, hosted by award-winning Sarawakian Hip-hop artist Deejay Arabyrd and led by a team of mentor-judges who are extraordinary dance icons across Malaysia.
One of the three judges is Sarawak’s very own international dance sensation Raziman Sarbini while the other two are multiple award-winner Suhaili Micheline and Malaysian Hip-hop dance legend Boojae Fadzil. — DayakDaily
