LIMBANG, Sept 4: A Bruneian man was confirmed dead, while another was seriously injured after being involved in an accident at Jalan Sagan Limbang here today.
A spokesperson for the Malaysian Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) Sarawak said they received a report regarding the accident at 4.34pm.
He said personnel from the Limbang Fire and Rescue Station (BBP) were then deployed to the scene.
“On arrival at the location, the operations commander reported that there had been an accident involving a multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) that had fallen from the bridge with the two victims stuck.
“The first victim was removed at 5.45pm and was seriously injured and handed over to the Ministry of Health (MOH) personnel.
“The second victim was removed at 6.25pm and was confirmed dead.”
The deceased was then handed over to the police for further action.
It is understood that the deceased was identified as Para Jack, aged 51. — DayakDaily
