MIRI, Dec 24: Police seized 23 short plastic straws containing substances believed to be syabu (Methamphetamine) with street value of RM300 during a raid on a house in Siang Garden here Monday (Dec 23) morning.
Miri District Narcotics Crime Investigation Division (NCID) team also arrested a 46-year-old local man during the operation.
Miri deputy police chief Supt Sabri Zainol said that the drugs weighing 5.45 gramme were discovered concealed inside a metal container marked male enlargement pills.
“Police discovered the drugs inside the suspect’s bedroom,” he added.
The suspect has been brought to Miri NCID office for questioning.
The suspect also tested positive for Methamphetamine.
The case is being investigated under Section 39A (1) and Section 15 (1)(a) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952.
