“I have yet to receive the full report, but the study is currently underway. As I mentioned previously, PETROS has been granted a licence to carry out a comprehensive study on the oil and gas potential in Limbang and Lawas.

“We pray that there are significant reserves so that the industry can be developed, creating more job opportunities for the people,” he said after officiating the 39th Irau Aco Lun Bawang Sarawak celebration at the Lawas Public Park today, in a report by TVS.

Awang Tengah, who is also the Second Minister for Natural Resources and Urban Development Sarawak, said the Sarawak government will continue to focus on education and skills training to produce a highly skilled workforce.

He added that this is important to ensure that the State’s natural resources, including the oil and gas industry, are led and managed by well-educated and highly skilled Sarawakians. — DayakDaily
