Nusi Poetry returns to highlight local voices, storytellers

KUCHING, Feb 1: Members of the public are welcome to attend the 2nd edition of NUSI POETRY: Mosaic – Ngebat Mimpi (Weaving Dreams) which, amongst others, seeks to support the local arts scene and highlight local creative artistes and works.

According to a press release, the event which is scheduled for Feb 2 (Sat) at Tristan Coffee And Roastery, Queen’s Court here from 8pm onwards is an opportunity for fans and followers of the local creative arts scene to hear distinctive voices from different walks of life sharing tales of living souls through poetry, lyrics and other mediums.

The event is curated by Nading Artistry and initiated by Nading Rhapsody, an avant-garde Borneo Ethnic World Music ensemble, in conjunction with the UNESCO International Year of Indigenous Languages 2019.


Opening the event will be the band Imaginasi founded in 2013 by Shahrol, Naz, Zair and Zul. Other performers and artistes in the event line-up include Gabriel Fairuz Louis, Deborah Chong, Opah Aspa, Kulleh Grasi, Ronney Bukong, Calvin Mikeng, Philomena Wilson, Raygyna Hayden, Zakaria Hassan, Neyna Radzuan, Dauz Iezara, Venu K Puthankatiil, and Raziv Myopia.
