MUKAH, Aug 19: A male nurse has been arrested for having in his possession 6.86gm of syabu in the form of dry leaves on Aug 16.
Mukah police chief, DSP Jimmy Panyau said today that at about 1.45pm on Aug 16, the police anti-narcotic team detained a man at a hotel in Jalan Orang Kaya Setiaraja for alleged drug activity.
The suspect is a 23-year-old nurse of a private medical centre.
“The team seized a stocking-shaped bag from the suspect. Inside it was seven transparent small plastic bags which contain 6.86gm of dry leaves believed to be syabu,” he added.
DSP Jimmy said the suspect’s urine was also found positive for drugs. The suspect has been remanded for four days until August 21 for investigation under Section 6 and 15(1) (B) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952.—DayakDaily
