KUCHING, Apr 1: Nok Air will commence direct flights from Bangkok to Kuala Lumpur in July, Tourism, Arts, and Culture Minister Dato Seri Tiong King Sing announced, joining Air Algérie and Aero Dili, which are already operating from Algiers and Dili, as part of Malaysia’s expanding domestic and international connectivity.
In a Facebook post, Tiong also confirmed other new and expanded routes, including AirAsia (Batam to Kuala Lumpur and Phuket to Penang), Batik Air Malaysia (Banda Aceh and Colombo to Kuala Lumpur), Juneyao Airlines (Wuxi to Kuala Lumpur), Chongqing Airlines (Chongqing to Kota Kinabalu), Qingdao Airlines (Qingdao to Penang), and Lufthansa (Frankfurt to Kuala Lumpur) starting in October.
“These developments reflect continued confidence in Malaysia as a regional aviation and tourism hub,” he said.
The additional services are expected to improve connectivity and give travellers more options across Asia and Europe. — DayakDaily
