No new Covid-19 clusters reported in Sarawak, 3 clusters end today

KUCHING, June 30: There are no new Covid-19 clusters reported in Sarawak today, while three clusters have ended.

The State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC), in its daily update on the Covid-19 situation in Sarawak, reported that the number of active clusters in Sarawak has dropped to 95 after three clusters ended in the last 24 hours.

The State Health Department declared the end of the Sungai Ranan Cluster in Kanowit, Jalan Endap Sawit Cluster in Samarahan and Tengah Hulu Gedong Cluster in Simunjan after zero cases were recorded in the past 28 days.


However, 16 active clusters registered an increase in daily infections with a total of 61 more cases.

Of the clusters, Blimbing Cluster in Bau and Lunyin Cluster in Telang Usan topped the list by adding 13 more cases each.

The remaining are Sungai Kotak Cluster in Meradong which picked up six cases, Kampung Sebandi Hilir Cluster in Lundu and Nanga Tada Cluster in Kanowit (5 cases each), Bali Pie Cluster in Subis, Po Ai Cluster in Sri Aman and Kavok Cluster in Telang Usan (3 cases each), Jalan Sungai Antu Cluster in Sibu and Tanjong Lelengau Cluster in Pakan (2 cases each), Jalan Coastal Bintulu-Miri Cluster in Bintulu, Gran Stumbin Cluster in Sri Aman, Mongkos 2 Cluster in Tebedu, Quadruplex Lapan Enam Cluster in Miri, Lutong Cluster in Telang Usang and Tema Saan Cluster in Tebedu has one case each.

Meanwhile, the Covid-19 advisory status for all districts in Sarawak remained unchanged today with 29 districts under red zones, two under orange zones and eight under yellow zones.

Daro remains the only district in the State that is free from Covid-19. — DayakDaily
