No new Covid-19 clusters; eight new cases linked to four existing clusters

KUCHING, Oct 10: There are no new Covid-19 clusters reported in Sarawak today, but four existing clusters recorded a total increase of eight new cases.

State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC), in a statement, said the Tembok Limbang Cluster in Limbang and Bungey 2 Cluster in Betong recorded three new cases each.


Meanwhile, the Melaban Cluster in Limbang and Opar Cluster in Bau, each recorded one case.

SDMC also disclosed that five clusters were declared ended today, after no new infections were reported within the past 28 days.

These clusters are the Sungai Penyarai 2 Cluster in Tatau, Kaman Cluster in Bau, Sawit Gelasah Cluster in Subis, Beruru Cluster in Pakan and Nanga Lasi Mit Cluster in Julau.

Presently, there are still 72 active clusters in Sarawak. — DayakDaily
