No new cluster; 17 new cases linked to 5 existing clusters

KUCHING, Oct 5: There are zero new Covid-19 clusters reported in Sarawak today, but five existing clusters have recorded a total increase of 17 new cases.

The Sarawak Disaster Management Commitee (SDMC) in a statement today said the Long Urun Cluster recorded 11 new cases while the Tembok Limbang Cluster and Sibuluh-Nowang Cluster recorded two cases respectively.

The Bungey 2 Cluster and Giam Cluster on the other hand, recorded one new case each.


SDMC also disclosed that six clusters were declared ended today after no new infections were reported within the past 28-days.

These clusters are the Sungai Menok Cluster in Beluru, Kampung Goebilt Cluster in Kuching, Mas Sawai Cluster in Subis, Nanga Pelugau Cluster in Selangau, Sungai Setulai Cluster in Sebauh and Bukit Barun Cluster in Tatau.

Presently, there are 94 active clusters in Sarawak. – DayakDaily
