KUCHING, Feb 15: A house at Kampung Mundai, Padawan, was razed by fire yesterday evening.
No one was injured in the incident, which destroyed about 70 per cent of the house structure, said the Fire and Rescue Department.
Its operation centre immediately dispatched a team of firefighters upon receiving the distress call around 6.30pm. The fire was put out at around 7.15pm.

Meanwhile, Miri Fire and Rescue personnel responded to an early morning fire that razed a workers’ quarters at an oil palm plantation at Sg Suai.
The department received a distress call at around 4.50am. No injuries were reported in the incident.
It was understood that the occupants managed to escape when the fire broke out. — DayakDaily
