KUCHING, Nov 13: Kuching Teochew Association Youth Section will hold a blood donation campaign at Aeon Mall Kuching Central on Nov 18 from 10am to 3pm.
In their press statement, the association said the campaign was facilitated by The Federation of Kuching, Samarahan and Serian Divisions Chinese Associations Youth Section and supported by Sarawak General Hospital (SGH) Blood Bank and Malaysian Red Crescent Kuching Chapter in response to calls by SGH to replenish its blood bank.
This activity is also to create awareness among the general public on the noble deed of saving lives through blood donation. The organiser appeals to regular blood donors and members of the public to donate blood at the event.
The main sponsors are Lee Onn Group of Companies and Hock Peng Organisation.
Each successful blood donor will be given free gifts from sponsors on a first come, first served basis.
These gifts included margarine sponsored by Syarikat Kion Hoong Cooking Oil Mills Sdn Bhd, packed milk (Supreme Food Supply (M) Sdn Bhd), cookies (Choon Hua Trading Corporation Sdn Bhd), meal coupons and white sugar (Taiwan Siau Jou), rice and eggs (Lian Hua Seng Sdn Bhd), glucose powder (Zhunion Holding Sdn Bhd), canned beverages (Sundrop Fruit Juice Sdn Bhd), bread (Eden Bakery), and rice crackers (Pico Food Industry Sdn Bhd).
