KUCHING, Dec 6: Federal Minister of Tourism Dato Sri Tiong King Sing has clocked in for his first day in office at the ministerial building in Putrajaya today.

According to a media posting on the Ministry’s social media, Tiong was greeted by the secretary-general Datuk Saraya Arbi and other ministry officials.

Thereafter, Tiong held a meeting together with Saraya, deputy secretary for Tourism Datuk Mohd Zamri Mat Zain, deputy secretary (Culture) Mohd Yusri Mohd Yussof and deputy secretary (Management) Norazman Othman.

He was also given briefs on the operations of the Ministry as well as departments and agencies under its jurisdiction.

The Ministry hopes that the appointment of Tiong will enable it to realise all its plans and enhance the entire chain of the country’s tourism sector. — DayakDaily
