KUCHING, Jan 23: New temporary Sarawak Basic Needs Assistance (SKAS) registration service centres have been established across Sarawak, while several centres have extended their operating hours until 5pm to further reach and assist those eligible for the programme.

The public, especially SKAS recipients who live nearby, can come to these locations at the specified dates and time, if they need assistance in registering for Sarawak ID and SPay Global for SKAS.

SKAS applicants need to bring their smartphone and identification card. Applicants also need to ensure that their smartphones have internet connection.

Those who initially did not qualify for the SKAS programme can reapply between Feb 1 and March 31, 2025.
