SERIAN, Jan 6: The new Tebedu District Office has begun operations on Wednesday (Jan 5).

Tebedu District Officer Joseph Liaw, in confirming this yesterday, said the old office will be closed from tomorrow (Jan 7) onwards as all businesses have moved to the new address.

“The Community Leaders Office is also relocated and all village administrative matters including longhouse and village chieftains matters will now be processed at the new office.

“Meanwhile, the Post Office and State Registration Department services will be maintained in the old building,” he told Sarawak Public Communications Unit (Ukas).

Joseph also expressed appreciation to the Sarawak government for establishing the new facility for the convenience and benefit of the communities in Tebedu District.
