KUCHING, May 21: A new fire station with a budget of RM8.4 million is set to be constructed in Sungai Asap, Belaga.
Senator Abun Sui Anyi, while announcing this upcoming project, expressed his gratitude to the federal government for finally approving the request that has been pending for quite some time.
“I brought up the necessity for this fire station during last year’s Parliament session.
“The construction of the fire station is expected to be completed by 2025,” he said in a statement today.
Abun Sui, who is also Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) Hulu Rajang branch chief, emphasised that the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) has urged the Public Works Department (JKR) to ensure an expedited construction process. — DayakDaily
