KUCHING, Oct 19: A new public parking lot is currently being constructed at the Kuching International Airport (KIA) for the Autonomous Rapid Transit (ART) Red Line from Kuching Sentral to Pending.

Sarawak Metro Sdn Bhd, in a statement today, said construction began on Oct 17 and will continue until Jan 16, 2025, from 9.30am to 4.30pm in the daytime and from 7pm until 4.30am until early morning.

According to the statement, the current car park will be repurposed for the construction of the future ART station at the airport.
