KUCHING, July 31: The new Jambatan Lemua Cluster with 11 positive cases is the only active Covid-19 cluster in Beluru as of today.
State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) said the cluster involved two longhouses under Enhanced Movement Control Order (EMCO) located at Seputi, Bakong, Beluru.
“A total of 133 individuals were screened where 11 tested positive including the index case, 118 cases were negative and four more samples are waiting for results,” it said in a statement today.
SDMC also noted that of the 11 cumulated positive cases, two were reported today.
All related patients have been admitted to the Miri Hospital and the Miri Low-risk Treatmenet and Quarantine Centre (PKRC), the committee assured.
Meanwhile, Sarawak registered one other new cluster in Kuching, dubbed the Kampung Git Cluster, that detected 20 positive cases involving a few families at KM27, off Jalan Puncak Borneo near here.
While two clusters namely the Jalan Masket Cluster in Sebauh and Ulu Teru Cluster in Beluru were declared to be expired today, Sarawak is left with 84 active clusters. — DayakDaily
