KUCHING, Nov 17: Construction on the new Kampung Riih Mawang hall costing RM250,000 is expected to be completed by May 17, 2023.
According to a news report from Sarawak Public Communications Unit (Ukas) today, Bukit Semuja assemblyman John Ilus said the project is one of 23 projects approved under the Rural Transformation Programme (RTP) for Bukit Semuja this year.
John said he always held discussions with all Village Development and Security Committees (JKKKs) in his constituency every yearend to discuss and plan development projects
“Priority will be given to infrastructure development projects, especially for youth activities, in addition to agricultural development,” he said after the ground-breaking ceremony for the new hall in Kampung Riih Mawang in Serian, today.
John said he will also focus on specific projects for the youth such as football fields and many others to ensure every community in the constituency benefits from development.
In terms of agricultural development, he added, the JKKKs involved needs to identify suitable sites for agricultural projects in groups in their respective villages. — DayakDaily
