KUCHING, Jan 8: A new seven-kilometre road connecting the Sempadi–Lundu coastal highway to i-CATS University in Trombol is currently in the tender stage.

“This project is now at the tender stage by the Public Works Department (JKR) and will be built as a dual carriageway road.

“The road will start from the end of FAC road (Pehin Sri Adenan Satem Road) up to i-CATS University College in Trombol,” he told reporters after visiting Batang Rambungan Bridge project site here today. An audio recording of the doorstep interview was later shared to DayakDaily.

He also highlighted the strategic role of the Rambungan Bridge in linking the coastal highway to the new university road.

“Our Sempadi–Lundu coastal road will serve as the main route connecting residents to another new road leading to the university in Trombol,” he added. — DayakDaily
