KUCHING, Aug 11: The upcoming Kuching Toastmasters Club meeting on Aug 16 will include a talk titled “Mental Health and Peace of Mind” by neurotherapist Daphne Van Piggelen.
The talk will be held in addition to the usual meeting programme which is free-of-charge, and the meeting will commence at 7.30pm via Zoom. Members of the public are welcome to join.
The usual Toastmasters meeting consists of members practising public speaking and receiving feedback from other club members for further improvement.
All this aligns with the Toastmasters mission to produce more confident speakers, communicators, and leaders in the real world.
The Kuching Toastmasters Club convenes on the 1st and 3rd Sunday evening of every month. Members of the public are free to join and personally witness the Toastmasters Education Programme in action.
Those interested to know more may contact club president Elton Jong (016-893 6066) and vice-president of education Chester Bong (016-885 1635).
Updates will also be posted on the club’s Facebook page “Kuching Toastmasters”. — DayakDaily
