KUCHING, Mar 4: Sarawak-born director James Wan may have married Romanian-German actress Ingrid Bisu last year, but their wedding photo only recently started to go viral on social media.
Wan officially announced their marriage November 2019 on his social media.
They were engaged 10 months before Wan officially announced their marriage where he posted their picture together on Instagram and wrote: “One ring to rule them all. No fuss. At home with our doggies as witnesses. Yaaayyyy!”.
Wan’s parents moved to Perth, Australia when Wan was 7 years old.
The 43-year-old Australian director has made his mark in the entertainment industry for directing some of the most highly acclaimed and top grossing horror movies including Insidious (2010), The Conjuring (2013) and the Nun (2018).
Wan is also known for making blockbuster action movies – Furious 7 (2015) and Aquaman (2018).
Last September, Wan announced he would be directing another horror movie – Malignant, which he co-wrote with Ingrid. The movie is expected to be released in August this year.
Wan’s soul partner, 32-year-old Ingrid played the role of Sister Oana in The Nun and is reported to be fluent in English, French, German and Latin.
She is known for starring in the comedy drama Toni Erdmann (2016) which was nominated at the Cannes Film Festival for Palme d’Or award in 2017.—DayakDaily
