KUCHING, Jan 2: A road accident involving seven vehicles occurred this morning in a parking lot in front of Public Bank at 3rd Mile, off Jalan Tun Datuk Patinggi Hj Ahmad Zaidi Adruce, is allegedly caused by the negligence of the driver of a BMW vehicle.
Kuching District Police chief ACP Mohd Farhan Lee Abdullah stated that in the accident around 11.30am, the driver of the BMW reportedly lost control of the vehicle and collided with several parked cars in the lot.
“Fortunately, no injuries were reported,” he said in a statement today.
The dramatic scene caused significant disruption in the area. Mohd Farhan urged all vehicle owners involved in this accident to come forward and assist in the investigation.
Affected parties are advised to visit the nearest police station or contact investigating officer Inspector Muhammad Amirul Azami Ahmad Rasol at 016-8593994/082-259900.
The accident began when the BMW driver struck the rear of a silver car parked next to a bank.
He then proceeded to crash into six more parked vehicles, leaving five with severe damage to their front and rear ends. The force of the collision pushed two additional cars together, resulting in dented and crumpled vehicles.
In the wake of the incident, police are reminding road users to exercise caution while driving to ensure the safety of themselves and others on the road. —DayakDaily
