KUCHING, Oct 3: Photographer Mohd Nazri Sulaiman has been named the grand prize winner in the Camera (Photo) category of the Malaysia Photo Hunt 2025, earning a luxury four-day, three-night holiday package for four people.
He was joined by three other top winners: Toh Jern Yoong, who won the Camera (Video) category; Kelvin Pudun Denis, who topped the Smartphone (Photo) category; and Mrutyaunjai Sanjay Parab, who claimed the Smartphone (Video) title.
The winners were announced at a prize-giving ceremony at the National Art Gallery in Kuala Lumpur today, where Tourism Malaysia’s Deputy Director-General (Promotion II) Lee Thai Hung presented the awards.
This year’s contest drew 2,310 photo entries and 121 videos under the theme “Surreal Experiences.”
Participants were required to submit proof of actual travel activities, ensuring authentic portrayals of Malaysia’s tourism offerings.
Supported by sponsors including Perodua, Canon, Sony, Samsung and OPPO, the competition offered prizes worth more than RM400,000 in total, making it one of the country’s largest visual arts contests.
Tourism Malaysia said the winners represent the creativity and vision that will help showcase Malaysia’s attractions to the world as the nation gears up for Visit Malaysia Year 2026. – DayakDaily
