SRI AMAN, Nov 14: Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) secretary-general Dato Sri Alexander Nanta Linggi says a win in P202 Sri Aman for the coalition is a win for the three State constituencies under it — Simanggang, Bukit Begunan, and Balai Ringin.

“We want supporters from the three State constituencies to vote for GPS’ candidate, Dato Sri Doris Sophia Brodie. Give her the mandate as she has all the prerequisites to be the parliamentary representative for the area.

“The three constituencies under GPS have a lot to gain, and the people, especially rural folk, will be better off in terms of development.

Nanta, also the caretaker Minister of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs, made this call at a ‘leader-with-the-people’ session at Rumah Bair, Ulu Undop, in Sri Aman today (Nov 14).

“We need a GPS parliamentarian not only to bring development, but if GPS won all the parliamentarian seats, we would have a bigger voice at the federal level,” he added.

Nanta, also GPS candidate for P215 Kapit, said Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg needs GPS to win to ensure a bigger bargaining chip when it comes to forming the Federal government.

“We did learn a lesson when Pakatan Harapan (PH) ruled as Federal government for 22 months.

“So let all the three State constituencies join forces to ensure GPS a victory come Nov 19,” he said. — DayakDaily
